Many residential window cleaning companies charge by the total number of window
panes, not window sills.
General parameters for bidding: Window cleaning bids are $3-$6 per pane. For a 1,300-square foot home with 20 panes, the cost could
cost $60-$140. For a 2,100-square foot home with 27 window panes, the price would average $60-$200.
It is customary
to remove drapery and blinds ahead of time, and clearing any furniture that obstructs access. Additional costs: - Screen cleaning is prices from .50 cents-$5 each, depending on size and
the extent of dirt.
- Sliding glass doors run $3.50-$6 per door.
Some companies average the cost of sliding doors with small bathroom windows to cut the price.
- Window cleaners should include sills and tracks. If not, the price runs $1-$2. While
second-story work is generally charged the same as single story, third and fourth-floor ladder work runs $4-$5 extra per pane.
- Removing mineral deposits and stain is not included by some companies and runs about $5 per pane.
